Ad Libitum is a modern chypre that is instantly recognizable but has its own modern way of moving. The opening is clear and citrusy with aldehydes that give an airy, almost freshly washed feel rather than a sharp freshness.

Then comes the heart note of jasmine and neroli that keeps the scent light, while cedarwood adds structure and a clean architectural depth. The base lands in oakmoss, patchouli and musk, i.e. classically elegant and a little nostalgic in that stylish way that makes the scent feel well thought out, not retro.
