The independent perfume house Dark Tales was created by perfumer Arina P. Franzén. With a background in history, psychology, and writing, she realized early on that some stories are too atmospheric to be expressed in words and must instead be experienced through the sense of smell. Today, Dark Tales has its base and laboratory in Uppsala, where each perfume is created, bottled, and packaged by hand with a focus on genuine craftsmanship. The scents from Dark Tales carry a nostalgic and mystical magic. They evoke the smell of old paper, candle smoke in a cold room, flowers after rain, and the atmosphere of places you may never have visited before.
