Ad Libitum is a modern chypre that is instantly recognizable but has its own modern way of moving. The opening is clear and citrus-fresh with aldehydes that give an airy, almost freshly laundered feel rather than sharp freshness.

Then comes the heart note with jasmine and neroli that keeps the scent light, while cedarwood provides structure and a clean architectural depth. The base settles into oakmoss, patchouli, and musk, i.e., classically elegant and a little nostalgic in that stylish way that makes the scent feel well-thought-out, not retro.
