YUZUYAKUZA from SPIRITICA is our April fragrance in focus.

YUZUYAKUZA från SPIRITICA är vår aprildoft i fokus. - FABLAB AB

If you've ever wondered what a blend of Japanese mafia ethics, rain-soaked asphalt, and freshly printed banknotes smells like, Yuzuyakuza has the answer.

What immediately captivates you about Yuzuyakuza is the bottle. The cap draws inspiration from traditional Japanese tattoo art. The scent welcomes us into Tokyo's dark side and Kabukichō's neon-drenched alleys with a perfume as sharp as a newly honed katana. The fragrance opens with Yuzu and Sudachi and an almost metallic freshness. As the scent settles, we enter the city with raw accords of ink and sun-warmed asphalt and a light rain. The base is suede, incense, mahogany, and cedarwood.

Luca Maffei is the perfumer behind Yuzuyakuza. Maffei is somewhat of a superstar in niche perfumery and has won the prestigious Art and Olfaction Award multiple times. Spiritica perfumes always have coordinates. It's the brand's signature. Daniele Muratori Caputo, the founder, chooses locations where he himself has had a mysterious or spiritual experience. Yuzuyakuza has the coordinates 5.693806°N | 139.701555°E. The name is not just a pun on the Yuzu fruit. It refers to the Japanese card game Oicho-Kabu where the worst possible hand combination is Ya (8), Ku (9), Za (3). This worthless number gave its name to the Japanese mafia.
