Orris Soyeux is an extrait de parfum with a clear idea: powdery iris meets leather, without it being heavy. It starts fresh with bergamot and a light, clear note of aldehyde that makes the opening clean and sharp. Then the iris comes forward. Orris root gives the soft powderiness, and together with magnolia and narcissus, the scent gets a floral body that feels mature and orderly, not sweet. As it settles, it gets warmer. Patchouli and labdanum give depth, the leather notes give structure and a tactile feel, and vanilla, musk and ambroxan make the whole thing close to the skin and last a long time.
