Etruscan Water is a chypre that starts with citrus and ends with balanced depth. The opening is fresh and bitter with bergamot, green mandarin and grapefruit, and petitgrain gives a dry, green citrus note that makes it feel more elegant than “juicy”. In the heart, basil and cumin enter and provide spicy stability, while immortelle and jasmine soften and orris root give a discreet powdery touch. The base is classically built with vetiver and oakmoss, rounded off with labdanum and a skin-close saltiness from ambergris and musk.
