Sandalwood
Sandalwood is one of perfumery’s most beloved base notes. It provides fragrances with a soft, creamy, and warm foundation that lasts a long time and develops slowly on the skin.
How sandalwood smells in perfume
Sandalwood smells milky and slightly powdery, with a smooth woodiness reminiscent of warm skin. Classic sandalwood comes from India, and today, Australian sandalwood and modern, sustainable alternatives are also used. The note pairs beautifully with rose, violet, vanilla, jasmine, and spices.
