Rose
The rose is called the queen of flowers and is one of the most widely used notes in the world of perfume. In niche perfumery, it reveals many facets, from classic and romantic to green, spicy, or dark and smoky.
How rose smells in perfume
The two major roses in perfumery are the Damask rose, which is full-bodied, honeyed, and slightly spicy, and the Centifolia rose, which is lighter and airier. Rose becomes modern and unexpected when paired with oud, saffron, incense, leather, and patchouli, and soft and romantic with musk and violet.
