Raspberry is one of the hottest fragrance notes right now. It is taking over where cherry and strawberry stood before, with a riper fruit note that balances sweet and tart.

How raspberry smells in perfume

Since raspberry yields almost no extract, the note is usually created with molecules like frambinone, which makes it airy rather than stickily sweet. Raspberry is most interesting when paired with rose, violet, amber, leather, and patchouli.
