Agaressence is a niche perfume for those who want oud in the starring role, with an opening that still has sharpness and clarity. It begins with saffron and dark fruit. Cassis and plum add richness, but the overall impression is more spicy than sweet. After a while, the floral notes emerge: tuberose, rose, and ylang-ylang give the scent body and depth, without losing its streamlined character. As it settles, it becomes denser and smokier. Oud and gurjun balm provide that warm, resinous weight, and cypriol and jatamansi add a dry, rooty quality. Amyris and sandalwood round it out, and civet provides a distinct, animalic tone that makes the fragrance more evening than day.
